Who Qualifies as a Credible Witness?
Someone who isn’t named in the document and has no interest in the transaction. In other words someone who is not a beneficiary can be a witness. The credible identifying witness must have a valid (un expired) government-issued photo ID. The witness must affirm or swear that the signer has the identity he or she claims to have.
